You were planned in love,
designed to reflect His beauty,
destined for glory.
When we can’t understand, our first question usually is – why did God allow this? Wrong question – it should be – Lord, show me Your purpose in allowing this and redeem it.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Lean not on your own understanding. Why not? Because Isaiah 55:6-9 – God’s thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are not our ways.
If we could understand everything – where would be the opportunity for faith?
God began (Philippians 1:6) a good work in us and (Romans 8:29) predestined us to be like Jesus. He will not fail (Isaiah 42:4, Isaiah 53:11) or be discouraged because He will see the fruit of His travail and make us justified and righteous. God will continue His good work in us right up until Jesus returns, developing, perfecting and bringing it to completion in us.
How has God prepared to do all this for us, in us and through us?
Ephesians 1:3 – When we received Jesus as our Saviour, He enters to indwell us – not bodily – but by the Holy Spirit. God the Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing by the Spirit IN CHRIST in the heavenly realms. We have it all but as we are being sanctified – we continually learn more about what we have.
2 Peter 1:3 – His divine power has bestowed on us everything required for life and godliness.
Colossians 2:9-10 –In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and we are complete in Him. All God’s fullness in Jesus – and Jesus living in us - - what more could I need?
The deeper life is JESUS CHRIST and He is all about our oneness with the FATHER. Our oneness with the FATHER will deepen as we continue to learn of JESUS. (Matthew 11:29, John 17:21).
Remember - - you were planned in love,
designed to reflect His beauty,
destined for glory.
