Jubilation or tribulation

YOUR CHOICE

Jesus, the Lamb of God is able to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29, Isaiah 53:6, 1 Peter 2:24) because the worthiness of the Lamb of God is far greater than all the combined sin of the whole world in all its ages throughout all time.  Let’s make it personal.  The incalculable worthiness of God’s Lamb is so far beyond measure, so greatly exceeds my total unworthiness and sin, that my salvation in Him guarantees (Romans 8:1) no condemnation for me.  His worthiness is the authority by which Jesus said (Revelation 3:10) I will keep you from the time of Tribulation which is coming on the whole world.  Apart from personal salvation, found only in the Lord Jesus Christ, no human being (Revelation 6:16-17) will escape the wrath of the Lamb.  The Great Day of God’s wrath is coming for every person on earth.  Forever too late for all those who have rejected God’s grace.  Mercy rejected becomes judgment received.  Shocking terrifying judgment will come suddenly, unexpectedly (Luke 21:35) on everyone on the face of the whole world.  The suffering will be so intense that many people will repeatedly attempt suicide but (Revelation 9:6) they will not be able to kill themselves.  God removes and (Daniel 2:21) sets up kings.  He gives their kingdoms to the various nations but each one of these kingdoms is temporary and fades into forgotten history. Temporary Sodom (Genesis 19:24-25) was utterly destroyed.  Then temporary Babylon became the sin city of the world - Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Alexander of Greece, the Caesars of Rome and all other rulers.  Alexander was called – The Great – but what is he now? Just a small paragraph on a page of ancient temporary kingdoms of history.  But the Lord established his throne in the heavens and (Psalms 103:19) His kingdom rules over all.  The Lord will reign forever and (Lamination 5:19) His kingdom will endure through all generations.  It is God’s will that everyone endure through all generations.  It is God’s will that everyone will come (2 Timothy 3:7) to a knowledge of the Truth.  The Truth, the eternal Truth is that He is the Lord and besides Him (Isaiah 43:11) there is no Saviour and no way and no hope of salvation.  The Lord is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but that all would come to repentance.

But the time is coming when God will (Revelation 11:8) destroy the corrupters of the earth.  The supreme will of our God for us in His Sovereignty, holiness, wisdom, power, goodness and majesty, is far beyond our minds to fully comprehend and our words to accurately describe.  It is no wonder that we are filled with wonder - - wonder that leads us to increasing revelation and worship.  As we delight in the Lord, not in the temporary things of the world, the desires of our heart (Psalms 37:4) will be God-given desires.  Nothing of my God-given desires permits self-indulgence or self-lights.  The Lord engineers every detail of my life.  That means that every detail of my life is God’s will for me, His holy purpose to be fulfilled in me.  If all my delight is in my Lord, the Light of His Truth will shine through me.

Very early this morning, while I was still in bed, The Holy Spirit gave me this statement of wisdom and protection.  If my God-given desires determine my choices, I will not yield to temptation in thought, imagination, attitude, word or deed.

(Oswald Chambers) “The Saviour set me free from sin but it is the Son Who (John 8:36) sets me free from individuality into personality”.  Individuality is total self-interest, all about me.  Personality knows that (Galatians 2:20) I am crucified with Christ.  I have been set free from my natural individuality, emancipated into the spiritual personality of my (2 Corinthians 5:17) new creation self and I am identified with Jesus.  I have responsibility and accountability to carry out obediently God’ commands to the Life of the Son of God within me.  God will not discipline me - - I must discipline myself.  The Son of God within me (John 8:29) always does what pleases the Father.

What holy privilege is mine in Christ to obey and be involved in the holy projects of the Sovereign Ruler of the universe, Who is my precious loving, beloved heavenly Father.  Think about that previous sentence and compare it with disobedience.  When we disobey God, we actually join Satan’s team!  I don’t ever want to go there or stay in that direction.  It is God’s will to have an obedient Christian, who loves God (Matthew 22:37-39) and loves others where you live and where I live and wherever we are.  Wondrous possibility – reality we can experience, we who are redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus can actually BE God’s will at all times and wherever we are.  This is the purpose for which God created us, redeemed us and placed us where we are.  Are you and I fulfilling God’s purpose for us each day through the victorious Resurrection Life of Jesus which is produced in us by the control and power of the Holy Spirit?

The horrors and disasters happening all over the world right now are just a tiny glimpse of what is coming in the Great Tribulation when God will pour out his fierce holy wrath on this wicked world. The next event on God’s calendar is the Rapture of His Church.  He will take all born-again believers in Jesus Christ out of the world and keep them from that dreadful terrifying time which is coming on the whole earth.  If you have not received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, all hope has ended for you.  In your arrogant pride you have spurned the Grace of God and scorned the Blood of Christ and trampled it underfoot. You will not only endure the worst times this world has ever experienced, you will end up in the eternal Lake of Fire to be tormented forever by the memory of your foolish choices - - with no relief, no escape, no end, no peace, no hope, no light - - just the blackness of darkness forever - - YOUR CHOICE.
