Matter

I ponder again. Is it a matter of perspective?
Disappointment again ... the difficulties continue and worsen ... the hoped-for good news never seems to come.
Many of us have experienced tragedy in our lives, false accusations, a relationship never put right;  we've known the loss of a loved one, a dream, of health, a job, a business, a ministry.  Did you ever wonder why God took Job's children and left his wife?  All we know of her is that at the beginning of his troubles she advised him to commit suicide and in the midst of his suffering she told him he had bad                breath (Job 2:9 Job 19:17).
This is earth's perspective.  What is Heaven's perspective?
God performs that which He has planned for me and of many such matters He is mindful. (Job 23:14 Amplified)
Does it sometimes seem ominous that a Sovereign Other has total control and He aloneknows all the future?  But wait!  Our heavenly Father is not a capricious Super-Power given to whims and subject to mood swings.
I am poor and needy yet the Lord takes    thought and plans for me (Psalm 40:17)
The things He has planned for us are not for evil but for our peace and welfare (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let me consider just a few of the treasures in God's plans for me:---- Abundant, joyful, overflowing LIFE (John 10:10).-- To abide always in His Presence to meditate and gaze upon the beauty, the sweetness and the delightful loveliness of the Lord    (Psalm 27:4).-- To reveal to me the secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord and to      show me the deep, inner meaning of His promises (Psalm 25:14).Job asked (Job 2:10), "Shall we accept only good at the hand of God and not also accept adversity?"
Yes, there is adversity and from earth's perspective, all things are not good.  But fromHeaven's perspective, all things are working together and fitting into a plan for our good(Romans 8:28).
As I meditate on these things,As I remind myself that all of this life is only preparation for an endless life of joy andfulfillment, I see that in every situation, in every circumstance, in every moment, I need to have Heaven's perspective.
I keep thinking about the secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord .....could anything even come close to comparing with that?                            With love & prayers,
