No questions -- No complaints .. is such a life possible?

There is a difference between asking and questioning.

Seekest thou great things for thyself?  Seek them not. (Jeremiah 45:5).  BUT thy life - I will give unto you as a prey wherever you go.  What does that mean?  It means wherever I go, whatever the danger, whatever the difficulty – nothing will harm my life.  After all, isn’t my life the most essential thing I have?  What is God really saying to me?  If I have questions about my circumstances or what happens in my life, it is proof that I am not trusting Him.  To abandon myself to God means I refuse myself the luxury of asking questions and take everything that comes as coming from the hand of God.

There is a difference between asking and questioning.  Jesus told us (Matthew 7:7) to ask – seek – knock.  We can ask/pray for needs all over the world as well as in our own lives.  The proof that we are trusting God is that we never question why He brings or allows certain things in our lives.

If you ask anything in My Name (John 14:14) I will do it.  Jesus gives us another example of the difference between asking and questioning.  In that day (John 16:23) you will ask Me nothing.  If you ask the Father for anything according to His will, He will give it to you.  Jesus taught us to pray (Matthew 6:9-13) for our needs.  Asking for the meeting of needs for ourselves and others is very different from questioning Almighty God for what He does in our lives,

IN THAT DAY – ASK NOTHING – what day?

The day when I fully embrace the glory of this mystery (Colossians 1:27) of Christ in me the hope of glory - - my only hope of realizing and revealing the glory/the moral character of God.  This life is not my old fleshly life (Colossians 3:3) but my new real life which is hid with Christ in God.  Could there be any safer place or more wonderful place?

I am uncertain about everything.  I do not know what will happen from one day to the next.  That should never bother me because I AM CERTAIN OF GOD.

Is it really so difficult to trust the One Who (Psalms 33:10-11) makes the counsel of the nations of no effect and brings the plans of men to nothing.  But His counsel will stand forever and His plans throughout all generations.  As we study Scripture we can clearly see how God works through thousands of years and countless generations to bring about His plans.

The Creator of the heavens – sun, moon, stars, the world, the sea and all that is in them, tells us (Psalms 8:4-9) that He cares more for us than all His wonderful works.

Let us exult in the holy sovereignty of our God, being so secure in His endless wisdom, boundless power and awful purity.

Many things about to-morrow I can’t seem to understand, but I know Who holds to-morrow and I know He holds my hand.

We have many reasons to continue to ask – seek – knock, BUT I can’t think of even one reason to question -- CAN YOU?
