Because Jesus is born spiritually in me, my life is a Bethlehem where Christ Jesus is being (Galatians 4:19 formed in me. Because He lives in me, He Himself, it is His very own Life that He is living in and through me. So then, my life is the (Colossians 3:3) Life that is hidden with Christ in God. I am always concealed in Jesus and Jesus is always revealed in me. Every detail of my life is in God’s total control and perfect timing.
Through the victory of Jesus on the Cross, God’s Grace shields me from the punishment I deserve and opens me to receive amazing mercy I don’t deserve, along with countless blessings.
In earlier days someone wisely said that if we don’t live by faith – we don’t live at all. This is well proven (Hebrews chapter 11) by the history of the faith heroes. My faith in God is my security so I can trust Him without reservation. Your Saviour is a Mighty One in the midst of you (Zephaniah 3:17) and He will rejoice over you with singing. If you neglect the eternal Truth of God’s holy Word and allow yourself to be depressed, you join Satan in his attack to destroy faith in God and His eternal Word.
When we come to a fork in the road, we must make a choice and of course that choice will lead to other choices. Joshua warns us (Joshuah 24:15) not to put off essential spiritual choices - - choose this day. Every choice we make has consequences and those consequences can last for years and those even for a lifetime. We can learn from Moses (Hebrews 11:24-26) he chose loyalty to God whatever the cost, rather than the sinful temporary position of riches of idolatrous Egypt. We can stand on the promises of God only if we are resting in the Promises.
There is a huge difference between confident trust in the Lord and carelessly, thoughtlessly taking every good gift for granted. I want to be a wise, obedient, faithful steward of everything I own. Actually, I am not the owner of anything I call mine. I am only the steward, the trustee. God is the Owner of everything and the Provider. He allows me, as His steward to take freely from His resources for my genuine daily needs.
The more we know makes us realize how very much we do not know. We will never (Romans 11:33-34) fully comprehend God and His ways and His doings while we are on earth. Not until we get to heaven will we comprehend fully and completely. While we are on earth we have (1 Corinthians 2:16) the mind of Christ Jesus in His humanity. He lived each day according to God’s will for Him. The Mind of God extends far above and beyond human comprehension and intelligence.
The Mind of God houses all the intricate mysteries through all the ages from long before the beginning of space and time and energy which He created in His perfect timing. We cannot understand the marvellous things beyond our comprehension, but we have no difficulty in believing them with all our heart. With hearts full of belief, we love and worship the transcendent Sovereign God Who is so different from us and yet is always our precious near and dear beloved heavenly Father. The source of our glorious God is the sum total of wisdom, beauty, perfection and holiness.
