Do you know how to always get what you want, when you pray? Here’s how - - always want just what God wants, and it will be granted at God’s perfect timing. All of God’s Laws are rooted in His protecting love for us. Every detail matters when it comes to obeying the Lord. Be alert, be watchful - - holiness is not contagious but unholiness is contagious. Light can have no fellowship with darkness.
God wants me (1 Thessalonians 5:17) to be constant in prayer. I know that prayer is heart-to-heart oneness with God. The closer we are to Him; we will see more clearly the desires of His heart. His desires will be reproduced in us and become our desires. Then we will want everything that God wants. God responds with supernatural power to answer earnest, specific, faithful prayer.
God wants me (1 John 1:7) to walk in the Light. I know that Light received and obeyed always brings more Light. But Light rejected and disobeyed always becomes darkness. I want to walk in God’s Light continually. Every moment of every day is my time with Jesus.
God wants me (1 Thessalonians 5:18) to give thanks in and for everything. I am so richly blessed that my heart is brimming over with gratitude. I have so many blessings I have no room for any complaints.
God wants me (Ephesians :12) to live for the praise of His glory. That is exactly what I want too, so by fulfilling the purpose for which He created me, redeemed me and placed me right where I am.
God wants to (Romans 8:29) fulfill His purpose in me by conforming me to the Image of His beloved Son. Gladly I surrender to Him and He works in all things to progressively restore me to His Divine Image.
God wants to (Galatians 1:16) reveal His Son in me, the Son of God in my mortal body. I want to be so identified with Jesus that all who see me will see Jesus.
God wants me (1 Corinthians 10:31) to glorify God in everything I do. I want to fill every day doing only the things that glorify my heavenly Father, exalt Jesus and give joy to the Holy Spirit. Then I will be filled and thrilled with God’s glory.
God wants me (Acts 1:8) to be a fit representative and faithful witness to the Lord Jesus. For this holy calling I buy up every opportunity and opening to tell others about my glorious Redeemer, the only Saviour.
God wants me (Ephesians 6:13-18) to put on the complete armour of God. Every morning, I prayerfully do this 2 or 3 hours before I get up out of bed. At that time, I pray for everything I need from God to make me His will in action wherever I am.
As we continue in unbroken communion and constant prayer conversation with our Sovereign God and the closer we get to Him, the more clearly we will see what God wants and His wants will become our wants. The Lord will reproduce His wants and purposes in our hearts. Then we will want only what God wants. Then we will always get what we want in precious holy intimacy with him.
God wants me (3 John 2) to be in vibrant spiritual health. I also want that quality of health which will be mine as I continually nourish my soul on the Living Word of the Eternal God.
Godliness is never the result that happens because of my legalistic human effort to live for the glory of God. There are no guidelines apart from Grace. If I have a right and good and deep understanding of God’s Grace, then godliness will continually rule out self-effort in my life, godliness will be my lifestyle. Recognize God’s Sovereignty and draw on His Grace.
If I love Jesus supremely as I should, then because I love Him, I will trust Him implicitly. Because I trust Him, I will obey Him instantly without hesitation or question. Then I will experience daily, in my life, His limitless power, His holy beneficial purpose and His constant loving, unfailing intimate Presence.
I know I will love Him forever,
He was called the Stranger of Galilee
But now Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour
And HE IS NO STRANGER TO ME.
